You may register to vote in person at the Lemont Township Office, by mail, online and even on Election Day.  Key dates and times for the 2026 General Primary Election are listed below.

Lemont Township registered voters can vote at their polling place on Election Day. Ballots can also be cast by mail or in person at Early Voting sites throughout Cook County.

Key Dates for the March 17, 2026 General Primary Election:

  • February 17, 2026 – Voter registration closes for deputy registrars and local election officials

  • March 1, 2026 – Last Day to register to vote by online application

  • March 2, 2026 – First day of early voting

  • March 12, 2026 – Last day to request a mail ballot, including military and overseas voters 

  • March 16, 2026 – Last day of early voting

  • March 17, 2026 – ELECTION DAY!  Last day ballots can be postmarked.
  • Where to Vote

The Lemont Township Community Center at 16300 Alba St. will be open to all Lemont Township residents for early voting for the General Primary Election on the following dates and times.
Please note there will be a secure ballot drop box at our location each day of early voting.

Monday, March 2 – Saturday, March 7:  9:00am-5:00pm

Sunday, March 8:  10:00am-4:00pm

Monday, March 9 – Saturday, March 14:  9:00am-5:00pm

Sunday, March 15:  10:00am-4:00pm

Monday, March 16:  9:00am-5:00pm (early voting ends)

Tuesday, March 17:  ELECTION DAY VOTING
